Denver, Colo., June 20, 2023 – Colorado is committed to increasing electric vehicles (EVs) on the road; and Denver residents now have more options for sustainable travel. Today, EV manufacturer Waev Inc. announced two new Denver-area authorized GEM dealer showrooms to help meet EV demand within the state: Colorado Golf & Turf, located in Littleton, Colorado, and Welch Equipment, with a new location in Denver. The dealers will provide the local market with inventory and support of GEM electric low-speed vehicles (LSVs).
Colorado Department of Transportation and Energy recently set a goal of having 2 million electric cars and SUVs on the state’s roads by 2035. EV sales in Colorado are currently on the rise – with the battery-only and plug-in hybrid vehicle market share at 10.5 percent in 2022, up from 6.5 percent in 2021, according to the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association. Through expanded access to GEM vehicles, Waev and its dealer network are helping contribute to the state’s sustainability goal with a low-speed vehicle option for residents. Customers will have the opportunity to learn more about LSVs, get a hands-on view of the vehicles, and experience GEM through test drives. The dedicated dealership staff can also guide customers through ordering a custom configured vehicle specifically suited to their lifestyle.
