Sven Etzelsberger is director of engineering at Waev Inc., an electric mobility provider founded in 2021 to manufacture, distribute, market, and support the GEM and Taylor-Dunn brands. He is a German automotive engineer and entrepreneur with a passion for innovation and design.

Prior to joining Waev, Sven held key roles at Porsche, Ford, and Fisker, contributing to some of the industry’s most exciting vehicle programs. Sven later founded URB-E, an urban mobility company creating compact cargo bikes that help make cities cleaner and more efficient.

When he’s not engineering new ways to move people and goods, you’ll probably find him riding motorcycles or dreaming up the next big idea.
