Anaheim, Calif., January 23, 2024 – Taylor-Dunn, a leading industrial electric vehicle manufacturer, is proud to announce its 75th anniversary. With a rich legacy of designing and producing commercial and industrial utility vehicles, Taylor-Dunn has become synonymous with productivity, reliability and safety.

“Celebrating 75 years of Taylor-Dunn offers up a great opportunity to reflect on the company’s significant growth over the years that are rooted in its humble beginnings,” said Keith Simon, CEO, Waev Inc. “The company was born in innovation on an Anaheim, California, farm where the first Taylor-Dunn electric vehicle was developed to drive productivity on the farm. Today, we produce EVs that can be seen working in an expansive set of use cases around the world. This success can be attributed to a 75-year commitment to engineering sustainable solutions that work.”

As the world embraces greener, safer, more productive solutions, Taylor-Dunn’s electric vehicles have emerged as the go-to workhorse thanks to the brand’s reliability and versatility. One of the standout vehicles in Taylor-Dunn’s lineup is the Bigfoot, an electric utility vehicle that is revolutionizing the industry. The Bigfoot is replacing gas UTVs, golf carts, tractors and trucks, offering the same towing and hauling capabilities as a full-size pickup truck. However, it distinguishes itself by being right-sized, cost-effective and easy to charge.

All Taylor-Dunn products are built to last, whether it is the durable steel bodies, the purposefully simple electrical architecture, or the drives that are overengineered for reliability and capability. Taylor-Dunn has doubled down on the commitment to reliability in its 75th year, by introducing a new robust 4-year warranty – further demonstrating the company’s confidence in the quality and durability of the vehicles.

To keep up with the growing demand in the market, Taylor-Dunn has made significant investments in its Anaheim, Calif., manufacturing operation. These investments enable the company to scale production and continue delivering exceptional vehicles in a timely manner.

“We take pride in not only having amazing Taylor-Dunn products and team members, but also in the long-standing relationships with the expansive network of Taylor-Dunn dealers and customers,” Simon added. “Many of our dealers have been selling these products for decades, and the company has a loyal customer base that has been relying on their Taylor-Dunn vehicles for much of the brand’s history. Their partnership and collaboration have been instrumental and we share this milestone with them.”

In addition to the company’s deep roots and enduring partnerships, Taylor-Dunn attributes its success to its dedicated team, many of whom have been with the brand for years. The legacy of the Taylor-Dunn team is impressive; 30 percent of the team has been with the company for more than a decade, a handful for more than three decades and one for almost six decades. Within the team are many multigenerational families that have also been integral to the Taylor-Dunn story.

As Taylor-Dunn celebrates its milestone year, it remains dedicated to pushing the boundaries of electric vehicle technology in a way that creates real value for customers. The company is poised to lead the industry into a greener and more sustainable future. Taylor-Dunn will commemorate the anniversary with a look back to the past throughout the year, as well as with exciting news in 2024 that will continue to propel the brand into the future.

For high-resolution images, please visit https://bit.ly/Taylor-Dunn75 or contact Katie Paulson, katie@kp-publicrelations.com.

About Waev Inc.
Waev Inc. provides access to safe and dependable electric vehicles through the manufacturing, distribution and support of the GEM, Taylor-Dunn and Tiger product lines.
Anaheim, Calif., Oct. 4, 2022 – The silent workhorse that has proliferated in commercial and industrial operations now has a little brother. Today, Waev Inc. introduces the Bigfoot S, an all-new, compact, and more agile burden carrier from Taylor-Dunn. Designed for customers who need big towing and payload in tighter facility spaces or desire to have better freight density, the Bigfoot S expands the dynamic line-up of Bigfoot burden carriers with a more cost-effective, all-electric offering available now.

Engineered with the DNA Bigfoot vehicles are known for, the Bigfoot S boasts the same all-steel construction resulting in superior durability, versatility and safety features in the lineup’s most compact footprint, measuring 12 inches shorter than the standard Bigfoot. With a payload of up to 2,000 lbs. and a towing capacity of up to 5,000 lbs., the Bigfoot S can haul 21 bags of 94-lb. cement and tow a full-size car – more than an average pickup truck at a fraction of the price and size, and with the ability to electrify without the wait.

“Bigfoot has become the unsung hero in industrial and commercial operations across the world. And with its uncompromised towing capabilities and customer versatility it’s easy to see why,” said Luke Mulvaney, senior vice president and chief revenue officer of Waev. “Not all customers need the extensive payload capacity of the Bigfoot or Bigfoot XL, and that’s where the Bigfoot S comes in. The small but mighty model increases operation inclusivity by offering our lighter application customers all they need, without paying for capacity they don’t.”

In comparison with the Bigfoot, the new compact model has a wheelbase that is 19 percent shorter (50 inches), an overall length that is 9 percent shorter (118.5 inches), and a turning radius that is 16 percent shorter (115-inch radius). That tight turning radius is also 9.5 percent shorter than the competition, allowing the small-scale Bigfoot S to further increase agility – providing safe and efficient turning capabilities in even tighter aisles and pathways. A max speed of 11 miles per hour meets jobsite compliance, while helping to safeguard employees around busy operations.

The Bigfoot S also provides the same superior comfort that customers have come to expect out of the Bigfoot lineup with ergonomic bucket seats, rack and pinion steering and a large operator compartment. A 6 hp motor provides customers the power necessary to haul lighter loads easily and efficiently without overpowering the vehicle. And a 36-volt battery configuration and range of 40-50 miles ensures operation productivity and efficiency is never sacrificed. Additionally, the Bigfoot S eliminates unnecessary battery wear and tear and extends vehicle longevity with a new battery disconnect feature that cuts of power after 10 minutes of inactivity.

The Bigfoot Difference

Bigfoot S: Compact footprint with sharper turning for tighter spaces and increased freight density

Bigfoot: The flagship Bigfoot burden carrier and most popular model designed for the widest range of applications and operating environments

Bigfoot XL: Maximum towing for larger operations and payloads

Bigfoot electric burden carriers are industry-leading mainstays with ranges up to 60 miles, load capacities ranging up to 3,000 lbs. and towing up to 10,000 lbs. The same operator controls and parts provide commonality across the entire Bigfoot lineup, allowing customers to stock up on standard parts to keep fleets running with ease, while also maintaining familiar ergonomics and durability. Bigfoot burden carriers are often used indoors and out – nimble enough for tight manufacturing facilities and convention centers, quiet and clean enough for resorts, corporate campuses and parks, and powerful enough for airports and railyards.

With jobsite compliant speeds, ergonomically low step height and high visibility for operators and warehouse workers, Bigfoot burden carriers are engineered for enhanced safety across the board. Bigfoot burden carriers are built to last with heavy-duty steel frames and engineered with high-tech innovations such as options for Lithium-ion power modules and fully integrated battery management systems. Bigfoot utility vehicles are highly customizable with full cabs, enclosures, integrated racks, carts, and other accessories that add to their versatility with customizations for baggage handling, maintenance, ambulance, law enforcement and people movers.

To view the full Bigfoot and Taylor-Dunn product lineups, visit www.taylor-dunn.com.

Editor Note: For high-resolution images, please visit bit.ly/WaevIncMediaKit or contact Katie Paulson, katie@kp-publicrelations.com.

About Waev Inc.

Waev Inc. provides access to safe and dependable electric vehicles through the manufacturing, distribution and support of the GEM, Taylor-Dunn and Tiger product lines.
Anaheim, Calif., January 31, 2022 – Waev Inc. opens orders for the all-new, fully electric, lithium-ion-powered Tiger tow tractors and Taylor-Dunn Bigfoot utility vehicles. These trusted vehicles outperform internal combustion and other electric vehicles with significantly lower total cost of ownership, zero emissions, industry-first safety features and limited maintenance. Tiger and Bigfoot Li-ion vehicles knock down barriers for ground support, industrial, campus, and facility leaders to make the switch to Li-ion by maintaining uncompromised range, towing and hauling and offering familiar user controls for operation. These are the first new products of Waev Inc, an electric vehicle manufacturer recently established to advance the GEM, Taylor-Dunn and Tiger brands.

“Our goal at Waev with these advancements is to make it easy for customers to implement and realize the benefits of fully electric, lithium-ion powered vehicles,” said Keith Simon, president and CEO of Waev Inc. “These vehicles provide modern electrification technology and all the benefits that comes with it, while maintaining the form factors that customers are used to operating and servicing, all from brands they can trust and are used to doing business with.”

Tiger Li-Ion

The all-new, fully electric, Tiger Li-ion lineup consists of two vehicle models – the Tiger 30/60 and the Tiger 30/60 XD.

The Tiger 30/60 Li-Ion, the newest in the lineup, is manufactured with a 100 percent steel body-on-frame with bolt-on chassis components. This familiar design offers capabilities, operations, and serviceability that’s familiar and proven in the ground support equipment space, providing a seamless experience for operators looking to electrify their established fleets with next-gen tractors. This familiar design requires little to no specialized operator training and includes many common GSE parts, simplifying operations and maintenance.

The Tiger 30/60 XD Li-Ion is manufactured with a 100 percent steel, unibody frame design. The integrated frame, counterweights, floorboard, front and rear bumpers, and cowling are welded together for added rigidity and durability in the harshest environments. Front and rear leaf spring suspensions provide a smoother ride and controlled handling over uneven pavement. The optimized pedal placement, additional legroom, spacious steering placement, 13” driver step-up and added room between operators is designed for riders of all sizes, minimizing fatigue. The XD model is best for operators looking to upgrade to a premium, heavy-duty frame, and fleet managers who want their users to have more control, easier ingress and egress, and more space to operate.

Both fully electric, Tiger Li-ion tow tractors are built on industry-proven chassis, with up to 60,000 lbs of towing capacity, and maintain Tiger’s simple, easy-to-use operational controls, hitch options, color choices and durability features.

Bigfoot Li-Ion

Bigfoot electric utility vehicles are industry-leading mainstays because of their range of up to 60 miles, load capacity of up to 3,000 lbs and towing capacity of up to 10,000 lbs and are often used indoors and throughout closed campuses like airports, corporate campuses and convention centers. Li-ion batteries are now available for all three Bigfoot models – Bigfoot 48V, Bigfoot XL and Bigfoot 3000. Li-ion-powered Bigfoot utility vehicles provide customers with the same load and towing capacity, as well as a comfortable operator’s compartment, with two-person seating, tilted steering and adjustable seats. Bigfoot utility vehicles are highly customizable with full cabs, enclosures, integrated racks, carts and other accessories that add to their versatility with customizations for baggage handling, maintenance, ambulance, law enforcement and people movers.

The Li-Ion Advantage

With leading edge, OEM designed and integrated, Li-ion-powered electric powertrain, the all-new Tiger and Bigfoot models maximize the benefits and reliability of the technology, from the operator controls to the rubber that meets the ground. Li-ion power integrated this way further enhances productivity in cargo towing and material handling with increased uptime and performance power, while lowering an operation’s overall carbon footprint and total cost of ownership.

Sustainability – The Tiger Li-ion and Bigfoot Li-ion are all-electric vehicles, which eliminates unnecessary emissions caused by traditional combustion vehicles. Zero tailpipe emissions help achieve sustainability goals and carbon offsets.

Safety – Vehicle electrification facilitates the ability to offer smart technology like the patent-pending anti-rollover system exclusive to Tiger tow tractors and programmable acceleration and speed. This technology allows users to improve their operations while exceeding traditional safety standards.

Battery Life and Health – Advanced Li-ion batteries provide at least 3,000 cycles and the greatest efficiency without power loss (maintains speed and acceleration, even when climbing hills) as the battery charge depletes. An integrated battery management system protects the battery and allows for safe operation, maximizing the battery’s longevity by accurately monitoring charging profiles, levels and performance and managing overall battery health under every condition for performance and safety.

Charging Infrastructure Optional – Multiple charging options include a standard 110V outlet, which eliminates that barrier to EV adoption and reduces the costs of specific charging infrastructures. The batteries also can use 220V single-phase outlets (like electric cars) and for fast charging, smart industrial chargers are ideal.

Zero Battery Maintenance – Li-ion batteries allow for opportunity charging – charge them anytime, for any duration to partially charge or top-off without negatively impacting the battery – eliminating inconvenient charging parameters. Li-ion batteries also don’t require posts to be cleaned or fluid to be monitored or added, making them much more reliable.

Range & Efficiency – All-day and multi-day operation is now possible for high use applications. Li-ion power provides vehicles with increased uptime between charges which means more run time and less charge time.

Compact and Powerful –Li-ion batteries pack more power and are half the weight of flooded lead-acid and AGM batteries, ensuring consistent control, speed and acceleration.

Cold Weather Performance – Due to the nature of flooded lead-acid batteries, users can experience up to a 50 percent decrease in battery life in cold weather temperatures. While cold weather has a negative effect on all batteries, Li-ion batteries aren’t as affected. The Tiger Li-ion tow tractor also has a higher kWh solution with a heated charger to further extend the temperature ranges for charging the batteries.

Total Cost of Ownership and ROI – Li-ion batteries last significantly longer than flooded lead-acid or AGM batteries – up to five times as long – contributing to a lower total cost of ownership (TCO). In addition to the longer battery life, Li-ion vehicles save significant money and time because there aren’t ongoing costs – routine maintenance, install labor, annual battery replacements, and opportunity costs. Customers that purchase Tiger Li-ion tow tractors could see annual savings of up to 80 percent compared to traditional fuel tractors. And customers purchasing Bigfoot Li-ion utility vehicles could see more than $10,000 in battery lifetime savings. For customers looking to maximize their uptime, lower TCO and improve ROI, Li-ion is the optimal choice.

For more than 70 years, Taylor-Dunn burden carriers, personnel carriers, stockchasers and tow tractors have been trusted solutions in a broad range of industrial and commercial environments. Taylor-Dunn vehicles have been refined year after year to provide premium reliability, safety features and all-electric efficiency for industrial-grade applications. Taylor-Dunn vehicles provide all the efficiency, sustainability and maintenance benefits of electrification in the form of a proven workhorse that has delivered utility and versatility for decades.

Tiger heavy-duty tow tractors have been towing cargo, baggage, parcel, and other equipment in ground support applications since 1981. The mission of the Tiger product is to unlock the benefits of electrification in these operations without compromising the job at hand. The Tiger Li-ion models provide a level of cost efficiency, sustainability and safety features that haven’t been realized with the traditional gas, diesel or LP options on the market. Similar to the GEM and Taylor-Dunn product lines, Tiger provides proven reliability and familiar operations, but with next-generation electric technology.
